A Coloradan's Most Eco Friendly Timepiece

So, for those of you super green, eco friendly 'my  bag is made of recycled wrappers' kinda people, here is a watch for you. Established in Florence, Italy the WEWOOD company has created a timepiece that is not only original, unique, and not as stuffy as your dad's Rolex, it is completely sans artificial and chemically harmful material. The company sticks by its wooden watches and boasts they are "as natural as your wrist", and you can place your purchase with the added comfort of knowing that for each watch a tree is planted to help make an even greater difference for our environment.

Springs Orleans, the Answer to Fine Dining in Colorado Springs

Entering into the fine dining atmosphere of our very own Springs Orleans, takes the guest into a world they may have thought couldn’t exist within Colorado Springs. A classic American inspired restaurant with a Cajun twist, it’s sophisticated design to rich colors, and original art pieces gives each visitor a heart felt southern invitation to take part in a genuine New Orleans experience. Warm and inviting, the grand piano, as played by a one of kind pianist, sets the mood for what is sure to be an evening of class, taste, and elegance.
With a large menu, spanning from delightful hors-d'oeuvres, to robust Cajun entrees, and finally decadent dessert, it is quite possible to find yourself at a loss of where to begin. Luckily, this establishment has handpicked its staff to assure a welcoming and thankfully informative environment. I wouldn’t have known what to do without my server’s suggestion of the Apple Gorgonzola salad, as every single menu item seemed just as delicious and intriguing. Then, with a full bar at hand each meal can be perfectly complimented by the best glass of wine, mixed drink, or beer.
The Silver Room at the back of the restaurant offers elegant space for wedding receptions, graduation parties, family reunions, and any other sort of celebration you may wish to create in the gorgeous Springs Orleans. Eventually, the Mining Exchange will be converted into a hotel that will feature Springs Orleans, all owned and operated by Perry Sanders Jr., a truly inspired entrepreneur.
Create a night to remember with your family and loved ones at Springs Orleans, and be part of the history that is sure to be made by this gorgeous, and unique restaurant.

The Mesa Drive In

The drive in movie is a 1950’s classic, you drive up to a screen, park your car and tune your radio to the designated station, and at sunset sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
The Mesa Drive In, established in 1951, is a three screen, six movie option outdoor theatre complete with a snack bar offering everything from burgers and hot dogs, to candy and even their unforgettable homemade funnel cake fries. This is one of those nostalgic, blast from the past gems that give moviegoers a relief from the commonplace movie theatre, red box, or netflix tedium. The perfect Friday night event, this drive in offers six current movies to choose from, with three screens for viewing. So, you get to see two movies for seven fifty, in the comfort of your own car. I have been making my trip to the outskirts of Pueblo, Colorado with family and friends since ’08, and I have loved each and every trip. The environment is safe, and kid friendly, while the movie choices offer something for everyone, and the food is perfect, and made to order.
Gates open at 7:30 each night, weather permitting, 7.50 each kids under 12 free.

Club Bubbles

So, club Bubbles is a new gay/lesbian venue here in Colorado Springs that offers a house party feel every weekend. Last week Tryst attended the “Black Light//White Party” that procured a very large turnout. Black lit in almost every corner, the club was a fun house of go-go dancers, both male and female, costumed club goers, and dancing dancing dancing . The club features multiple rooms providing different atmospheres and music styles, a huge rap around bar with a scantily clad service team, an enormous main dance floor complete with catwalk and platforms, vip seating, rows of public access ‘lit from within’ tables, a long smoking pit, and of course a dj booth. This is a great spot for ladies night, and a gentleman’s night out with affordable drinks, great music, and a loveable staff geared toward your best interest.
